· My duty was to establish Cell Culture Protocols for the co-culture of cell lines Molt-3 and SupT-1 in the presence of Human Herpes Virus-6 ( HHV-6) in BioSafety Level (BSL) 2 & 3 labs. I was responsible for recognizing and maintaining GLP and GMP protocols on a daily basis.· Additionally, was responsible for training and supervising four graduate students on GLP and GMP protocols and, maintain close supervision while students worked in BSL-2 & 3 hoods. · I was responsible for establishing “Standard Operating Procedure(s)” for the overall culture of cells used in Protein Profile Assays.


· Duties also included establishing and standardizing Protocols for Protein Profile Assays.

· After co-culturing carcinomas in the presence of HHV-6, I was responsible for collaborating with Scientists in the Proteomics Lab at Florida State University (FSU), where I would carry supernatant to FSU to be screened by the Mass Spectrophotometer for the expression of specific cytokines.


· Investigated the different applications of the Texture Analyzer TA.XT.Plus in a Pharmaceutical, drug delivery environment. My goal was to utilize nanotechnology to develop novel drug delivery apparatus. Identified a chitosan compound to be used in the delivery of cytokine(s) as a drug. Requires more research and development.

· I supervised one full time technician and four Workstudy students. 

· Twenty-five percent (25%) of my duty was to establish a biotechnology laboratory  to develop genetically engineered goats and day to day management of a full scale, functional biotechnology laboratory. This was accomplished. I was responsible for establishing GLP for the lab. 

· Taught courses and conducted labs on the fundamental aspects of both the principles of an Oracle Database and a biotechnology laboratory.

Research Scientist/Developmental DBA Nov. 1996 – Aug. 1999

· My duties as on-site Scientist were two-fold: the production of ascities fluid to make antibodies and IT Manager.

· Managed a staff of two (2) biologists and three (3) animal care technicians in the production of antibodies.

· I was responsible for calculating dosages of adjuvant, antigens and other injections for mice and rabbits in the production of ascites fluid. · Aspirated ascites fluid from mice and rabbits using GMP and GLP and then using column chromatography, purified ascites fluid.  

· Ran antigen/antibody activity assay on column-purified antibody and plotted results on Windows based spreadsheet.

· Plated fibroblast cells et. al. cell culture techniques necessary in the production of antibodies.

· Froze and recovered cells, mRNA, Proteins and DNA from liquid nitrogen tanks. 

· Managed employees in the freezing and proper thawing techniques of cells.

· Responsible for the day to day care of lab and computer equipment. 

· Responsible for teaching basic antibody production to new employees. 

· Utilized Perl and Java script to create files for nucleic acid sequences taken from GeneBank and as sequences downloaded from PDB. Assisted the Oracle Database manager in managing 40 GB of data distributed in four databases on Oracle 7.

· Used Perl, Shell, SQL and Java scripts to query MedLine, GeneBank and Protein Data Bank (PDB).

Research Scientist/Developer 1994 – 1996

My duties were two-fold. I worked with the Cancer Center, the Pediatric Immunology Unit and the Transplant Surgery Unit. In the Cancer Center, my task was to establish and managed a molecular biology laboratory and worked as Assistant Investigator in the beginning stages of the “Human Genome Project”, helping to establish and populate the database with cDNA and RNA. 

The second part of my duties at Howard was combined between Pediatric Immunology and Transplant Surgery. My specific task was to establish protocols for “Reducing the Actions of Cytotoxic T-Lymphocytes” in Graft V. Host Disease. 


This task included the purchase of necessary equipment and supplies to establish a laboratory for conducting research in molecular biology. This lab was approximately 1500 sq. ft. In this lab, we investigated the “Genetics of Asthma” and collected nucleic acid samples for the initial stages of the “Human Genome Project”.

· Used Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) to amplify low counts of DNA. Also used PCR to make cDNA from mRNA.

· Collected blood from donors and isolated peripheral blood mononuclear cells to be used in cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte Assays.

· Used 3Thymadine in Elisa to measure stimulated activity of non-resting T cells.

· Employed standard lab techniques to purify mRNA, DNA and protein from tissue. 

· Trained students and faculty on the proper use and utilities of the PCR. 

· Responsible for teaching faculty and students proper cryopreservation techniques for organs, tissues, proteins, cells and mRNA.


· Investigated the roles of cytokines in the differentiation and maturation of HL-60 cells to eosinophils. The goal was to determine which cytokine or group of cytokines is most effective in driving the cells to become eosinophils. 

· Utilized LIMS in daily lab tasks (i.e. to manage cDNA library, write reports and communicate with other international databases).

Following an intensive year-long training program at the NIH, transferred to the Wilmer Eye Institute at JHU. The program involved the study of the molecular biology and genetics of HIV/AIDS (NIH) and Glaucoma (JHU).

At 23 yrs.old, The Los Angeles  Native  began working at Northrop Electronics. Eric became the clean room assembly Asst. Manager of the Guidance system of the MX   Intercontinental Continental Ballistic Missile, Nuclear Missile.


Later he worked as a TV and Radio Journalist at CBS Network in Los Angeles on The News Shows: 60 minutes, Nightline, CBS sports, the Evening News with Dan Rather, CBS This Morning, Bill Maher Show and the Price is Right w/ Bob Baker, Daytime SOAPS Young and Restless, Bold and Beautiful, Jerry Lewis Telethon.  At NBC Network the Shows Dateline, NBC sports and the Jay Leno Show. 


He Later moved to New York to work at ABC Network for the Evening News with Peter Jennings, GMA, ABC Sports, then on to Washington D.C.  to work at for Reuters as a White House Journalist as a Sound man, Camera Man and Producer. He has worked in Mexico, Canada, Belize, Jamaica, Africa, Cuba, England, Egypt.


Fade to Black Productions, His Satellite Broadcast Company, Produced the 1st National and International Live Satellite event to the World from the African Nation of Ghana. Where for a period of 12 hours, His company had exclusive access to the National communication systems Ghana Broadcast Company, Ghana Post and Telecom and The Ghana  Earth Station Satellite up-link  facilities of the Nation of Ghana, West Africa.


He has a Bachelor’s of Information Technology, MBA in Business and Marketing. 


He became the Financial Application System, Global ERP Manager for Robert Maguire at Maguire Properties Inc. Once the Largest Commercial Real Estate Investment Trust, owner of downtown  Los Angeles commercial  real estate properties : The US Bank tower, Well Fargo Center, One & Two Cal Plaza in Downtown, Los Angeles.


He is a Yardi Developer, Implementator, Network specialist & Consultant. Working on Yardi Implementations throughout  the U.S. and Canada for these companies, The Yard Corporation, American Homes, Colony Capitol, TIAA, Maguire Properties.


He is Certified as a Master Scuba Diver, teaching new diver certification course on over 100 dives. He has scuba in 6 of the top scuba destination of the Plant. Cozumel, Channel Island, Catalina Island, The Blue Hole in Belize, Grand Cayman reef in Cuba.


2014 he was a passenger in a Major Car Accident which left him in the hospital as a paralyzed QUADPLEGIC. In the accident  he broke C3, C5, C6 vertebrae in his Neck.


2016 He started Natures V in Phoenix as a Naturopath supplement company. 


In 2018 he became a Grand Master in the Martial Art of  Wo Ying Chuan.
